Organisational  Context

Blackstone Minerals Limited is a leading battery and precious metals exploration and development company focused on the flagship Ta Khoa Nickel PGE (Cu Co) sulfide project in Northern Vietnam where the company is drilling out the large-scale Ban Phuc Nickel-PGE deposit. The Ta Khoa Nickel-PGE Project has existing modern mine infrastructure built to International Standards including a 450ktpa processing plant and permitted mine facilities.

Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, Blackstone also owns a large land holding at the Gold Bridge project within the BC porphyry belt in British Columbia, Canada with large scale drill targets prospective for high grade gold-cobalt copper mineralisation.

Primary Function

This position is responsible for providing HR services & advice on the application & implementation of HR policy and strategy and to provide HR project support across the full employee life cycle.

Accountabilities

Workforce Planning

  • Update workforce plan and support managers in its implementation

  • Maintain up to date Organisation Charts

 

Remuneration and Reward

  • Provide guidance to managers on remuneration /salaries

  • Interpret and apply salary market data to roles within Blackstone

  • Assist in the implementation of employee incentive schemes

 

HR Policies, Processes and Systems

  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policy and procedures

  • Develop systems where they do not already exist
     

Employee Engagement and Development

  • Support the development and implementation of HR related initiatives as part of the company’s strategy to engage and retain employees
     

Recruitment/Talent Acquisition

  • Conduct recruitment and selection in conjunction with other HR team members

  • Conduct new starter onboarding

  • Develop/update Position Descriptions as required

  • Manage/oversee the recruitment tracking system/database

  • Manager/oversee the career webpage

  • Manage agency relationships and supplier contracts for recruitment services

 

Governance, Compliance and Reporting

  • Maintain employee records, meeting statutory requirements and fulfilling company reporting requirements.

  • Maintain HR management and board reporting

  • Ensure Privacy Act is adhered to when dealing with employee information.

Employee Relations

  • Advise and guide in grievances and matters of dispute

  • Conduct /partake in any investigations as required

  • Provide support to general employee population

  • Support the employee exit process

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

  • Tertiary qualifications Human Resources or similar

  • Extensive (5+ years) HR experience at an advisory level

  • A strong understanding of employment processes and relevant legislation.

  • Prior experience with international HR and expatriate international mobility is desirable

  • Customer service orientation, good self-awareness, and a positive attitude.

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, communication (both oral and written) and relationship building skills.

  • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy skills, especially with confidential information.

  • Close attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

  • Capacity to multi-task, prioritise workload and be outcome driven.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs
